Online Uncontested Divorce
An uncontested divorce occurs when both parties are in agreement with all of the terms of a divorce. Our online option allows parties who have reached an agreement regarding all of their issues finalize their divorce for a low flat-fee.
How do we stand apart from other online legal document preparation websites? We do not just draft documents for you and then leave you standing at the courthouse wasting countless hours trying to navigate the litigation process on your own.
At Reed Law, we know that preparing the documents is only half of the process. Therefore, we not only prepare the required documents, but we also file everything with the Court on your behalf ensuring that you receive a final judgment dissolving your marriage based on the terms that you and your spouse agree upon.

Step 2
Provide Attorney with Payment and Information Online
We charge a flat fee for our services in preparing all of your divorce documents. In addition to the flat fee for our services, the Clerk of Court also charges a filing fee. That’s it, no other fees will be charged unless you decide that you want changes to your drafted Marital Settlement Agreement, you or your spouse request that we file a copy of your Financial Affidavits (Florida Statute Form 12.902(b) or (c)) with the Court, or you want to have phone conferences with the attorneys or legal assistants (phone calls are usually unnecessary, but please know that we are available to speak with you and answer any questions that you may have, with no additional fee being charged for phone calls with legal assistants until after the third phone call).
After we receive your payment, you will first receive an email with questions designed to assist us in obtaining all of the necessary information to complete your documents, along with information to assist you in completing it. Once we receive this information from you, you will receive an email that outlines the work we will be performing for you to confirm that you want to proceed with the Online Uncontested Divorce Option. Sometimes after the documents are drafted, people decide not to proceed with the divorce. Should you find yourself in that situation, you will not have to pay a filing fee to the Clerk of Court.
Step 3
Review, Sign, and Return Your Divorce Documents
You will receive all of your divorce documents after we have received your payment, answers to our questionnaire, and receive your confirmation that you wish to proceed with the Online Uncontested Divorce Option. Once both parties have reviewed and signed the divorce documents, and returned them to us with the Clerk of Court filing fee, we will proceed with filing everything with the Court.
We work as quickly as possible to ensure that your divorce is accomplished as fast as possible. And, in most cases, all of this is accomplished without you ever having to leave your house, visit an attorney’s office, or attend a hearing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions About Our Online Divorce Service
How much will an uncontested divorce cost?
The total fees are as follows: Attorney’s fees paid to Reed Law in the amount of $1,000 if you have no children, assets and/or debts; $1,300 if you have no children, but have assets and/or debts; and $1,500 if you have children and assets and/or debts. In addition to the attorney fee, the only other cost that will be incurred is the filing fee paid to the court of $437. That is it, there will be no other fees or costs, unless you request changes to your settlement agreement after it is drafted.
How long does this process take?
In Florida, there is a 20-day waiting period from the date of filing the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage before a divorce can be finalized. However, if you and your spouse agree to waive this 20-day waiting period in order to be divorced immediately, we can request the Court waive that requirement and finalize your divorce immediately. Many times, the Court will agree to do so. Therefore, please let us know if you want to waive the 20-day waiting period or not. Once we receive your payment, we will send you a questionnaire to complete and return to us. After we receive your completed questionnaire, you will receive an emailed employment contract that outlines the services we will be performing for you. Once you confirm that you want to proceed with our Online Uncontested Divorce Option, we will draft your divorce documents, and email them to you to sign. Once we receive your signed documents back from you we will proceed with filing them with the Court, and will either proceed immediately with submitting your proposed Final Judgment to the Judge, or if you opted not to waive the 20-day waiting period, we will begin counting down the days until we can submit your proposed Final Judgment to the Judge. Although we cannot guarantee the time it will take for the Judge to sign your Final Judgment, we typically receive the signed Final Judgment back within 10-20 days after we send it to the Court.
Who do we represent?
In Florida, an attorney can only represent one of the spouses in a divorce action. Therefore, the spouse who first retains our services through our website will be our client in the divorce proceeding.
